Opportunities at WOF are not simply “programs to join.” They are pathways for disciples to live their calling with their whole life. We are a royal priesthood (1 Pet 2:9), created for good works God prepared (Eph 2:10).
Serving is worshipful obedience (Rom 12:1), lived across campus, vocation, family, city, and nations under Christ’s lordship (Col 3:17).
Opportunities also extend formation. When Word-shaped disciples move with truth and love in real places (Matt 5:16), the gospel bears fruit. The Kingdom often grows through small seeds and quiet leaven (Matt 13)—faithful obedience in everyday life.
Opportunities are many, but not every path fits every season.
We emphasize discernment—not only inspiration—through four lenses:
The Lord has not given you an empty life. He has entrusted you with something—time, skills, opportunities, relationships, and resources. And what He entrusts is meant to be used for His joy and His purposes (Matt 25:14–30; Luke 19:11–27).
In the parables of the talents and the minas, Jesus does not center fear—He centers opportunity. Do not bury what was entrusted. Do not be trapped by hesitation. Trade with it. Bear fruit. And offer that fruit back to the Lord. The Master does not welcome faithful servants with suspicion, but with joy—He praises them and rewards them (Matt 25:21).
What we carry here can be finite and perishable. Yet God calls us to sow what lasts. Scripture says what we sow is what we reap: sowing to the flesh yields what fades, but sowing to the Spirit yields lasting life and fruit (Gal 6:7–9).
Disciples live with an eternal horizon—looking beyond what is seen to what is unseen and eternal (2 Cor 4:17–18), storing treasure in heaven rather than on earth (Matt 6:19–21).
That is why Opportunities are more than “good options.” They are places where we sow toward an imperishable reward. Our labor in the Lord is not in vain (1 Cor 15:58). God is not unjust to forget your work and love shown in serving His people (Heb 6:10). And Scripture points us to unfading glory and promised reward (1 Pet 5:4; 2 Tim 4:7–8; Col 3:23–24).
We do not chase only what looks large. The Lord honors faithfulness in small things (Luke 16:10). When we “trade” with what Christ entrusted and leave gospel fruit behind, it does not end here. It remains as Kingdom glory—and becomes an eternal reward.
God forms one body with many members (1 Cor 12).
Opportunities connect gifts and places so disciples build up the Church and love neighbors through gospel good works (Eph 4:15–16).
